مقرر تأسيسي يعد الطالبة فكريا ومعرفيا ومهاريا لتكون على معرفة بمبادئ وعناصر التصميم الداخلي ودراية بأصول الرسم الهندسي والمنظورالحر، واكتساب المهارات اليدوية والتقنية مع تنمية المهارات الابتكارية، وتنمية مهارات الطالبة المعرفية بمبادئ التصميم –الإيقاع، الاتزان، التكرار، الانسجام، التضاد ، النسب والتناسب ، التركيز ، الوحدة – والقياسات الأنثروبومترية والأرجونومية، وكيفية الوصول للتصميم الجيد بالتفاعل مع عناصر التصميم – نقطة ، خط ، شكل، لون، ملمس، ظل ونور– من خلال تعميق مفهوم الخطة الشاملة في التصميم الداخلي.
A foundation course makes student enable intellectually and cognitively to be familiar with the design principles and elements. Student will be familiar with engineering drawings and sketching. She will acquires manual and technology skills with innovative skills development. They will developed cognitive principles of design –rhythm, balance, repetition, harmony, contrast, ratios and proportionality, unity and variety- and the anthropometric measurements and ergonomics. She will developed how to product well design to interact with design elements - point, line, shape, color, texture, shadow … by deepening the concept of the comprehensive interior design.

يتناول المقرر دراسة تاريخ الاثاث والعمارة في العصور القديمة والكلاسيكية والعصور الوسطى الأوروبية ، والمفردات التصميمية للعمارة الاسلامية ابتداء من العصر الاموي حتى العصر التركي . كما يتناول المقرر دراسة التصميم الداخلي والاثاث لعصور النهضة متضمنة الطرز الانجليزية والفرنسية . والتعرف على خصائص وسمات كل طراز لمساعدة الطالبة على تمييز الطرز لعناصر التصميم الداخلي والأثاث بين العصور المختلفة
The course deals with the study of the history of furniture and architecture in ancient, classical and European Middle Ages, and the design vocabulary of Islamic architecture from the Umayyad period to the Turkish era. The course also deals with the study of interior design and furniture for the Renaissance, including English and French styles. And learn about the characteristics and features of each model to help the student distinguish the models of the elements of interior design and furniture between different eras. .

يتناول المقرر تدريب الطالبة على اختيار الخطط اللونية بما يتلائم واحتياجات العميل ، ووظيفة الفراغ الداخلي والخامات المستخدمة في تصميمه ، من خلال دراسة اهم الاسس والمبادئ لنظريات اللون ، وتطبيقها في نماذج من اعمال المصممين العالميين .وتنمية مهارات الطالبة على الاخراج اللوني بإستخدام اساليب مختلفة ( الوان مائية – جواش – باستيل – رصاص ) وكذلك قدرتها على وضع رؤيه تصميمية للخطط اللونية المختارة . The course deals with training the student in choosing color schemes to suit the needs of the client, and the function of the space and the materials used in its design, through studying the most important foundations and principles of color theories, and applying them in models from the work of international designers. Also, develop the students ability to render by using different types of colors –water color - Gouache - Pastel –pencils) as well as its ability to develop a design vision for the chosen color schemes.

يتناول المقرر دراسة مبادئ وأسس الرسم المعماري والهندسي ، من خلال دراسة العمليات الهندسية وأسس الإسقاط الأفقي والرأسي والمقاطع المختلفة للتعبير عن الأفكار التصميمية للفراغات الداخلية وتشمل ( المساقط الافقية – القطاعات الرأسية – الواجهات) وما تتضمنه من تفاصيل للفتحات المعمارية المختلفة والسلالم ، كما يتضمن تأسيس مهارات الرسم ثلاثي الأبعاد لعناصر البيئة المعمارية للفراغات الداخلية والخارجية

يعتبر المقرر مدخل إلى التصميم والتشكيل الفني والتفكير الإبداعي بشكل عام, فهو يتناول ماهية التصميم ومفرداته ومفاهيمه الأولية ( العمق, الحركة, التوازن, التنوع, النسق, التباين,...) عناصر التصميم (النقطة, الخط, المستوى, الفراغ, اللون... ) مع التركيز على التشكيلات المجردة في البعدين ، وكيفية تطبيقها في الثلاث ابعاد. و فهم مبادئ التصميم بشكل عام ( النسب, الأبعاد, المقياس النظام, الحيز, المحتوى الفراغي, النمط, الكتلة, الغرض ), إضافة إلى طرق التنظيم المختلفة ( الخطي, المحوري, الإشعاعي, الشبكي, التجميعي ) ، كما يتضمن المقرر نظريات التصميم الاساسية وطرق التصميم المختلفة
The course deals with studying the principles and foundations of architectural drawing, through studying the engineering processes, the foundations of horizontal and vertical projection and the various sections to express design ideas for internal spaces, including (horizontal projections - vertical sectors - facades) and the details it contains for the different architectural openings and stairs, and also includes the establishment of drawing skills Three-dimensional elements of the architectural environment of the interior and exterior spaces.

يتضمن المقرر دراسات تفصيلية عن خامات التشطيب والنهو للفراغات الداخلية والخارجية للمنشآت المختلفة ، من خلال التعرف على أحدث الخامات الموجودة بالسوق العالمي والمحلي ، والاسم العلمي والتجاري المتداول لكل خامة . ودراسة اسس اختيار الخامات في مشاريع التصميم الداخلي ، ودراسة خصائص وطرق القياس والتركيب للخامات المختلفة
The course deals with details studies regard finishing materials in the interior and exterior spaces, and coping with the latest in the local and international market by knowing the materials names and (scientific and commercial). Furthermore, studying the principles that helps designers choosing the right materials in interior design projects, and the different methods of applications and quality assurance of the materials.

The course aims at providing a fundamental understanding of building materials, components, methods. Students will be guided through the different components, constraints and systems of a work of architecture. The course course addresses building codes, zoning, construction documentation and delivery, digital fabrication, and the impact of energy, sustainability, and environmental forces on building construction.

The course discuss, analyses, and study the history of interior architecture and furniture in 20th century, starting from the industrial revolution in late 19th and how it affected the art and architectural movements. The course provided detailed knowledge on movements such as, art and craft, art nouveau, art deco, Bauhaus, post-modern, deconstruction, organic movements, and environmental trend… other, in chronological order, to make connections and understand how the movement affected another one.

The course deals with the application of the principles of natural and industrial lighting design, a study of design requirements and factors affecting the actual distribution of lighting intensity - the course deals with the study of design stages and the calculation of the number of lighting units required for a space according to the function through an application project.

يتناول المقرر أساليب عرض الافكار التصميمية ( بوستر – عروض تقديمية – لوحات - نماذج ) وكيفية تصميم منهجية لأسلوب العرض تبعاً لنوعية الموضوع التصميمي المطلوب ، كما يساعد المقرر في تنمية المهارات الشخصية لدى الطالبة لعرض افكارها التصميمية
The course deals with methods of presenting design ideas (poster - presentations - panels - models) and how to design a methodology for the presentation method according to the type of design topic required. The course also helps in developing the personal skills of the student to present her design ideas.

This course studies and analyses the design problems for office / administrative spaces through focusing on the requirements of offices and their effects on the flow and suitability, and their relation to the architectural context and structure. Elements of colour, matarials, furniture, surfaces and finishing are all required as discussions and presenting the solutions using advanced CAD programs (2D and 3D).

The course focuses on the determinants of environmental systems on buildings’ architectural planning and design. Emphasis is placed on methods of measuring and determining the inter-relation between natural and artificial methods of lighting, ventilation, and sound. Students will learn to identify how these methods are potentially integrated with other interior-exterior aspects of the building design

This course studies and analyses the design problems for commercial spaces and stores to optimize commercial interiors through theory, site visits, analytical studies, and environmental studies, and proposing different design solutions that reflect different historical studies and design theories. Solutions are presented using advanced CAD programs (2D and 3D).

The course identifying the principles of furniture design through an analytical study of furniture development across different eras, identifying the related design concepts and foundations, realizing the measurements, and different characteristics of each design style. It focuses on design process from the concept to the executing with a touch of manufacturing technique.

The interior design studio 5 is the first part of the graduation senior project that will continue in Interior design studio 6 by working on unique and distinctive projects that address contemporary and unconventional issues for various public buildings: (residential, cultural, educational, recreational, tourism, health) after taking the approval of the course teaching team. This course is a co-requisite to the graduation research project that requires developing architectural construction drawings for the initial design of the project. Prepare plans, sections and facades, and study the architectural details and finishes for the interior and exterior building.

An introductory research study for the graduation project in which the student prepares a single research in one of the fields of interior design through the selection of distinct design projects that address unconventional and stereotypical design issues for the various public buildings (residential - cultural, educational - recreational - tourism - health). The research also includes theoretical, analytical, and field studies of the proposed graduation projects.

The course deals with the proposed graduation design project previously discussed in the research studies in the Senior Project Research module, and the detailed architectural studies in the module of the Interior Design Studio 5 (working drawings), where the student will learn at this stage how to set goals and strategies for solving design problems in the project, and how to translate the results of the research analysis of the project in proposing and evaluating design alternatives, so that these designs reflect the student’s personality and design identity, which was formed through the knowledge and skills acquired in all areas of studies in the department’s study plan.
